It's a ...
BOY!!!
We were thrilled to find out we are having a boy on Wednesday! Even more exciting that Mom, Marce, and Jodie got to see the baby as well! Lillian was set on having a sister but took the news well. She put her head in her hands for a minute and then announced his name will be "Beast."

impossible to get them both looking! |
We had such great weather to be in Washington DC on Thursday. The kids were great, Lillian walked most of the day! We rode the metro, tried new foods and met as many people as we could.

Reunited at last...
We were blessed to be able to visit with Melissa while she was in VA. Melissa and her husband, Rick, served with us in Port Sulphur, LA. Melissa is one of Lillian's favorite people! Yay for good friends.

Surprise!
Mom and Dad visited a couple weeks ago so I wasn't expecting them for Elisha's party. Mom surprised me and arrived on Saturday with Marce and the kids. Thank you Mom! It was such a special day!
My Beautiful Kiddos
I was looking at my children the other day and it hit me just how beautiful they are. I'm not just speaking of their physical attributes but their overall significance to me. With this in mind I began to think of how beautiful they are to God. Not just them, but all of His children. If I, as broken as I am, can love my children with the intense love I have, how much more does God intensely love His children? Even in our rebellion He sent His Son as a sacrifice to pay the sin debt we accumulated. He did this so that we could have that Father/child relationship the HE desired...not I. How great the Father's love for us.
"See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God; and such we are." 1 John 3:1
